I have CSS that I thought would make the links in my header (http://www.brianherbelphotography.com/) grey when the cursor hovers there, but it does not seem to be working?

This is the code im using:
/* Set the buttons to transition grey on mouse hover */
.sm-user-ui .sm-button-skin-accent:hover {
background-color: grey;
border-color: grey;
}

Also, I would like to make my email address in the caption here: http://www.brianherbelphotography.com/Other/About-MeGuestbook
to hover red like it used to?

Lamah provides code to change caption link and hover color at http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Gallery/Caption-Link-Colors.

There is another option at http://www.smugocity.com/CSS/Navigation/Hover.

I used a method that changes the hover behavior of all links on my site. To do this I placed this CSS in my theme:

/* Adds hover effect to all links on site */
a :hover, 
a:hover {
  color: #19a791 !important;
  text-decoration: overline !important;
}

If you place the hover in the theme you'll lose it if you ever change themes.

Good point.

I started placing CSS in the theme before I realized that and I just didn't choose to move the CSS that is there. If I ever change themes I'll copy everything from the theme.

Yes, Denise, thank you! This is the first CSS I've pasted into my site that actually worked. There is, however, a line that appears above each nav button as you hover over it to click on it. Not a deal breaker by any means, but is there any way to eliminate that line?

Remove this line from the CSS you copied from above:

text-decoration: overline !important;
