How do I change the order (not randomize) of the photos in my Homepage Slideshow?

Also, how do I change the order of the Galleries on my Homepage?

Go to "organize" > Organize Site > navigate to the homepage slideshow gallery > Sort by .... (top right corner) ????????????

I've notice that I can choose the order a slideshow plays images on a page. They seem to play in the order that I select them. I don't have a slideshow on my homepage, so am not sure if it works the same or not.
