.png transparency not working

We have a watermark we use for our organization. Here's a FB application:

The original is a transparent png. But when I upload to SM, there is a white background. So, it can't really be used as a watermark. Here's what it looks like in SM: http://www.biodiversityphotography.org/organize/Home/i-GcjHxMb

Is there something I am not getting about setting transparency settings either in PS or SM?

That's a jpg, not a png on SmugMug:



Save the file in Photoshop using Save for web, transparent png.

That is strange, since I uploaded it as a .png from Lightroom. Apparantly the publisher changed it to jpg. I'll upload directly. Thanks!

Lightroom defaults to converting things to JPEG, you would need to right click on the header of your SmugMug publish service, click edit settings, and choose "Original" for "image format" in order for Lightroom to upload the PNG untouched (don't forget to set it back afterwards).
