Great set and awesome lighting. For 8 was that selective coloring or done to look like selective coloring on set?

Thank you! I covered the background light with a red gel so that I would be able to produce a red theme since the ballerina was wearing a red tutu. The effect was done on the set, not in post production.

Is that a marley floor in #6, or did you have her on perspex/acrylic for the reflection? Extraordinary control of light, no matter which! Keep coming back to these - they're about as good as it gets

Thank you, DM! The flooring is a highly reflective vinyl. All but #10 have been shot on this type of flooring.

The second batch are also jaw-dropping. Also, it must be said that while the photography is just OUTSTANDING, the dancing is pretty off the end of the scale too. Those are some outstanding professional dancers - the extension and line of your dreams!!! Just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

I think Diva hit the nail on the head. Yes the photography is superb, but the grace, athleticism and beauty of these dancers is the real star of these photos. I get so caught up in the photography side of these type of images, that it can be easy to lose sight of the other real "stars".

Her name is Molly Flippen and she is a professional dancer for the Los Angeles Ballet.
