Home Page Slideshow, auto size, scroll bars, bottom text

Trying to finally chase down one last thing that has been bothering me.

On my home page (link below) I put a slide show with size "auto" and "Content aware". This very nicely resizes so that it fills to the bottom of the page.

Almost.

I then have one line at the bottom with footer information that is on the "entire site".

The problem is that as the page displays, some of the times it creates a horizontal scroll bar that overlays this line, making it appear as though it is not there (absent scrolling).

Sometimes no scroll bar, but it is partially cutoff by the bottom of the browser.

If i add margin at the bottom below it you might expect it to move up, but it moves down. Using zero bottom margin is the best I've gotten. Adding margin above, or below the slideshow just puts space between and the line appears in the same hidden or half-hidden place.

It's like there's a setting somewhere for a page margin or something that I'm missing.

Any ideas?

PS. If your browser screen is very tall, or very narrow thus constraining the slide show, this does not happen; it requires you have enough room but not too much room. On mine on a full screen, wide-format monitor it is very obvious on a full screen browser.

PPS. Tried Chrome, Firefox and IE -- all look more or less the same.

PPPS. I put a screen shot on as an attachment but it's so small due to the 800 pixel limit not sure if you can see the horizontally truncated line at the bottom.
