font colour (homepage)

Hi all,

I'm using one of the default designs for my new-look page but have changed the background image a few times. When I do this though, the default font is quite hard to see so I'm trying to find out how I can change the colour, perhaps via css?

Can I change the colour of the font on my homepage? Ie, the bit under my name only? How would I go about changing the colour of the font on every bit of text on my homepage in case this looks better?
