Michael "Nick" Nichols
I am sure everyone interested in this forum knows who this is. I had a opportunity to attend Nick's book signing last night. He did a presentation on the making of the book and his recently completed work titled "The Short Happy Life Of a Serengeti Lion" which was featured in the August 2013 edition of National Geographic magazine.
I also brought a couple other works I have of his and he signed them also. I must say, he is a really nice man. Extremely knowledgeable, not only about the photography aspects of these projects, but also the issues driving the problems. He is truly passionate about bringing awareness to the issues and to help bring solutions.
Before the presentation there was a group of us sitting around and he came up to us to just talk about what ever came up. If you have a chance to attend one of these, I would highly recommend it.
