I've been asked to set up a viewing station for sports images so that parents can order before they leave. What software is good for this type of viewing/browsing? It CAN NOT be an online service. It has to be downloaded to the computer and able to work without internet. THANKS!!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I want to warn you about people who will ask you, "will you be selling these online as well?" If you won't, then great, but if you will, don't just tell them yes. They won't actually get around to buying. Make them give you a payment right then and there, before giving them your biz card. You can then turn that into a print credit. Numerous smartphone credit card readers are available to facilitate this.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
