Photos sorting in galleries

My galleries are set as "position" for sorting purpose. However, I wonder how do I set my galleries such that new uploads are shown first? In other words, when my galleries are set as 'position', every time when I uploaded my photos, the newest photos will go to the bottom of the pages. I want my new uploads shown before old uploads.

    Have you considered changing the sort to "date taken" with the sort direction set to descending? This will show your newest photos first.

    If you have your sort order in old smugmug set to none and descending (which gives the condition you are looking for)
    when you unveil in new smugmug and use gallery settings your picture order will be lost.

    I agree with you that it would make much more sense for the default for "position" to be the top of the gallery.
    Ideally you should have the choice of either.

    In old smugmug we have the choice. Not sure why they removed that option in new smugmug. Because of this I had to spend 2 hours on one gallery to sort my photos according to the positions I wanted.

    how can you randomize the order of your photos within a gallery?
