Contact form problem

I click on menu bar ( making sure I am in entire site) Go to links - add link - type contact me - BUT - as soon as I click on Contact Form in drop down menu - Contact Me disappears from the menu bar, I have entered my correct email address in profiles.
Please can someone help me as to what I am doing wrong ?
