Its good.thumb.gif This is unique opportunity as usually one does not find these kind of trees on beach and not so close to water. Perhaps palm trees but not like these. Not that I have seen anyway.

The composition can be made more interesting I think. Perhaps moving it away from center would be one choice. Getting much lower might be another so all the branches have sky as the background and not touching the water and horizon....aim right at the sun....see if you can get the shadow as well as sun flare....

You can try zooming out and do long exposure and create the lone tree sensation etc.....lots of opportunities to be creative here......you can try in moonlight also...etc.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I do have plans to return to the beach in the not too distant future. This was the first time I was there, and not knowing just what to expect, I didn't drag my tripod down to the beach with me - I really did want the long-exposure look to the water. Also, most of the "boneyard" area of dead trees was closed for preservation work, so I was a limited on just how much I could move around to frame it. Next time, I'll have to plan better in regards to tide and sun position. Unfortunately, the preserve closes just after sunset, or I would absolutely be out there on a moonlit night!
