publish to facebook not working?

HI

I'm currently trial testing the new smugmug. I've tested it before with the old layout but didn't for for it then and kept using my zenfolio account
im now considering moving again and have played around with the customizations and quite impressed

I'm now trying to publish a public gallery (by selecting all the pictures) to facebook.
I have the option for PROFILE or PAGE, I took PROFILE
I can choose or create new album
I choose to CREATE NEW (because I cant select any existing albums from facebook anyway)
so I create a new one.

now that new one becomes part of the list. so now I have
choose
create new
album_name_justcreated

so I take the last and when I press publish it mentions in red
YOU MUST SELECT an ALBUM

what am I doing wrong here?

I can log into my account by pressing the blue facebook logo and get into my account automatically
so I guess FB and smugmug are connected...


this is very confusing.
any help?

You need to select the Gallery you just created, so it knows where to publish the photos.

I did
I created the album I can now select it as an album so I did
but it still says "YOU MUST SELECT an ALBUM""

pressed publish and it tells me to select an album?!

Nice it seems that this simply does not work I'm assuming...
no replies on the forum
created a support ticket as well...

so far having a hard time deciding if I should just keep zenfolio or move completely to smugmug...

fixed it
tried something else:


logged out all sites (smugmug and facebook)
restarted browser
instead of loggin into smugmug with my facebook profile, I logged in with other username from smugmug
went to the publish page. that pop-up now had a new notification "you need to be logged in to facebook"
when I did that, I got a new authorization pop-up to access my photos

after that it worked flawlessly.

Ha! That's pretty crazy. (I mean, it seems backwards from the way you'd think it would be more likely to work!) But I'm glad you got it going. I wish these heroes would actually read the posts. You described exactly what you did & then get a response telling you to do what you just did. Ugh.
