Changing File Names

Hi all,

i am a new member in SMpro.
does anybody know how to change the file names of the pictures?
I want to change them from _ing42938.jpg to shanghai door.jpg for instance..
I can't find a way around this.. I can add a caption which will change the name of the pic when i view it on gallery mode but the caption will also appear under the pic. I want to be able to change the file name so i have no text under the pic but I want to display the name when i put the mouse over the pic.

You would need to change the file name before you upload to your smug site.

Is there some reason why you don't want to add captions to your photos, showing the captions instead of file name?

i want to exclude the caption for design purposes. I already have 200+ pics online and I don't want to upload them again....

Deleting and reuploading the photos is the only option you have. I'm sorry.

thank you for your quick response! Can you please make a request on my behalf and hundred other users i guess to make this option (of changing filenames) online possible? its a big issue if you have a lot of pics online and also if you have some comment and likes in some of your pics too.
