menu on homepage vanished

I created a new page, added it to the menu bar via links then the menu bar on the home page vanished.
When viewing the "Entire Site" it appears, when looking at the homepage it is gone. Any suggestions?

Did you create the Menu bar on the "entire site" section? The homepage has a setting to allow it to be independent.
Click into the Homepage section (black right section, top).
Then above that in the green bar which has Settings, Preview, Done, click Settings.
This image shows the setting to change.

I'm not unveiled yet so if you are unveiled, this might look slightly different (the top Settings, Preview, Done area)
