Hi All!
Most of our Egrets have flown south, but this one and a few others stayed behind. As long as we have a warm winter it's not a bad deal, because it gets plenty to eat!

All comments and suggestions welcome and very much appreciated! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Best, Pam

I really appreciate the comments! The bonfire photo is a composite of one photo exposing for the silhouette of the tree, and the other exposing for the fire. It was really fun to see it in person. Best, Pam

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Very cool. I like the ones in which the entire shrimp can be seen -- tells the predator-prey story the best.

The first shot comes off as some kind of impressionist art, most attractive. I have video of a Great Egret fishing in Florida, but it's a wide shot. Didn't know exactly what they caught. The shrimp would have no chance of escape.

Thanks, Dave! I could not tell what this Egret caught watching it with the naked eye--I could only identify the shrimp after loading the shots onto my computer monitor. Best, Pam
