Bulk/Edit Caption/Keyword

I have 364 of 1000 selected (red border) and added a KW. Clicking Preview/keywords it adds
the KW to all 1000 not the selected 364.

This is a HUGE BUG and needs to be fixed along with the rest of the keyword BUGS.
You can see in the screen where the selected ends.

Only select one and adds to all.

Think I found the solution, never seen this before but in the "in" drop I now see a "selected". So if it is selected
only the selected get added to. Looks like false alarm.

OK, I did find something. In organizer I selected 384 of 1000 thumbs. Then going into bulk edit caption/keyword
all 1000 show up not the 284 selected. So selecting any quantity it does not carry into the tools like bulk.

In edit bulk I have to scroll down and select every thumb individually. Very time consuming and ridiculous.

No change from before. They just added confusion by allowing you to select photos in the organizer and then ignore that selection when you go to the caption/keyword tool. But the tool itself is just as bad as it's always been.

I hope they don't "improve" the bulk caption/keyword tool though. Every improvement smugmug makes seems to be 2 big steps backward. I can't imagine any changes they make any time soon will make it easier or more efficient to use.

Just stick with legacy for all keywording. Fewer clicks, less confusion.

There's always been a "selected" option in the "in" drop; I use it all the time. In fact, I didn't know there was any way to add stuff to just the selected photos, other than click "selected" in the "in" drop. But it sounds like NewSmug now allows you to select in some other way, yet it isn't working intuitively with the bulk edit tool yet?
