How to display filenames when photos also have a caption?

I would ike to always display filenames rather than captions. When you turn on show filenames in the gallery settings, it will only show the filename if the photo does not have a caption. Short of removing all of the captions from the photos, is there another way of doing this?

Close but I really want to suppress the caption when it is present. I just want to show the filename.

You can do that by afterwards adding this CSS (for SmugMug-style galleries):

.sm-gallery-image-container .sm-tile-info p {
  display:none;
}

That'll hide the caption and image title, leaving only the filename added by my extension.

You can probably hide it in the lightbox view too.

Thanks again but I'm really looking for a more generic solution. Have you seen that Google will be cracking down Chrome extensions? http://lifehacker.com/google-plans-to-block-chrome-extensions-from-outside-th-1460524349

I can always host my extension on the Google Web Store, which'd comply with those new changes. The only reason I haven't bothered so far is that I like to keep the install page and the instructions for use in the same place.
