Nikolai.....flash & football

Nik, here are two shots straight out of the camera....nothing done at all. First one is existing light and the second one with flash without any compensation. They were about 60 yards away and the flash was a Canon 600 ex rt. It can help at an amazing distance. Trouble is when they get in close it seems to blow them out with all the dark areas and white uniforms confusing the sensor.

    I don't like what it did to the field.

    An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    I agree, but the point is these are right out of camera with no adjustments of any type. You can do what you wish during post. It's also an extreme example.
