C&C always welcome!! Session I did with a gal last week - beautiful autumn day. She's a singer/teacher and wanted a variety of looks.

Mini-D and I have done an autumn shoot every year since 2008, when I got my dSLR and started trying to learn as much as I could. We usually use the same spot, but last year it was closed due to construction so we couldn't do it. She's definitely NOT into photoshoots these days, but I got a special dispensation this year because the day I asked to do it was my birthday, so she said yes (and even admitted "This is kind of fun now you're so much faster than you used to be - I don't have to stand here for two hours now!" lol). Another of the dgrin kids growing up all too quickly! :cry :lust

I think #2 and #3 are wonderful--really, just perfect--great lighting, poses, expressions. Something bothers me about her look in #1, though--she doesn't look as friendly/open.
And of course your daughter is lovely!

Yeah, it was hard to get anything out of her that wasn't the same smile - I included that one mostly because it was different lol There are many in that series with other expressions (and that shallow, nat light part of the session was my favorite - I thought it was very flattering to her skin and I like the way the shallow dof brings the attention right up to her eyes) :)

We think Mini-D is perfect, but then we would :giggle iloveyou.gif She's having a great 10th grade year so far - long may it continue!

I'm not seeing 2. I like 3 the best and 1 is great overall, but I think what throws people off is the arched eyebrow.

If the singer/teacher isn't thrilled with these images, I'd be VERY surprised. In my eye, this is some of your best yet.

It's kind of fun watching Mini grow up for me. It's like getting two for the price of one. You may recall I have one the same age. With Mini, I get to watch the "blossoming" without all the hassles that go with it.

I was in Kansas of all places last month on a commercial shoot and had to miss my wee one's first homecoming dance "date". Just killed me. Couldn't get mom to sit in the kitchen cleaning the shot-gun when the "date" came to pick her up like I would have been. Drove me to distraction.

    Thanks John and Bryce :)

Yes, the singer is thrilled - she's given me the best compliment I can get of having "too many good ones to choose from". :)

Laughing.gif at "all the fun without all the hassles" - HA! Oh, I hear you. We're actually having a pretty great start to 10th grade after a bumpy couple of years for her (school zoning problems - long story) - long may it reign........... rolleyes1.gif
