Wow! It is hard to believe that there is any part of San Pedro that still looks like that. Beautiful shot!

Great shot and composition! Love the details from the pool itself and Star fish makes the shot!

I am not sure what that red glow is above the start fish, on the rock in absolute center....maybe its glare.....maybe it reflection.....keeps drawing my eyes to it.......

Is this a hand-held shot? Short exposure? Thanks.

Checked rest of your shots in the gallery.......couple of great shots of Mt. Ranier and the falls with Ranier in background. Also loved the 'Mist Falls'!

Thanks. This particular shot is a 3-image exposure blend using photomatix.

There was a bit of flare in the original one I posted which I tried to remove. I suspect that's what you are seeing. Did a bit of other re-edits but hard to see in this size.

Dittos - nice pic.... Saw a disturbing news story yesterday about the total collapse of the Pacific/California starfish population - basically they just fall apart and die in a matter of hours - so far, it's unknown why. :cry

David, the latest reports I've read say that it's still undetermined. http://nwpr.org/post/mass-starfish-die-hits-vancouver-may-happen-washington

    Fox news wrong? rolleyes1.gif

I just read up on it some more and some reports call it a virus and others a bacterial infection. So yeah, a mystery.

This report(er) calls it both ne_nau.gif

What a grizzly and horrible situation.
