They are back in northern California, these shots were taken in an area called District 10 north of Marysville CA

    Beautiful shots, Chris, and you make exposure for black and white in the same photo look easy! Love the composition, too. Wish we had these birds. Best, Pam

    Thanks Harry and Pam, it was late afternoon and had Mother natures smoke filter working from the burning rice fields helping out. Swans like Egrets are always a challenge in the middle of the day
