restrict keyword search result page - allow to act as a client login

Greetings - I've posted this on here as well...so I'll just copy it. I hope this catches on, b/c I believe this will serve a quick and easy client login functionality with minimal effort.

Since SmugMug does not have a native client login - allow the keyword search to serve as a client login. Currently, when you search for a keyword, lets say you have 50 wedding images that have a keyword of "password" - you will get a result page showing all those images - but if you click on any one of the images, it takes you to the containing gallery. I suggest that an option be added to the keyword search that allows the result to be "restricted". If this option is selected, then once the keyword results (images) come back - then no deeper navigation is allowed. If this is implemented, then you can basically set passwords as keywords, in post processing, and then use a custom keyword search screen as a type of client login screen!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback!!!! Maybe 'navigation' is not the best term to use...I've seen the functionality I'm referring to implemented by another hosting company - and I think they need to do it here....maybe an example.
If you go to this link and enter "kid1" (assume "kid1" was some password I assigned as a keyword for all applicable photos) you will, obviously, get all the photos for "kid1"...
http://www.iellisphoto.com/Sports/FindYourPhotos
...but if you click on any of the pics, it takes you back to the gallery...which may have other photos that you dont want the user to see (cause they do not belong to "kid1")...
but...if you follow this link....
http://www.iellisphoto.com/keyword/kid1
...you get the same result, but notice that there is no navigation to the containing gallery...so why can't there be an option to only bring back the photos and not allow them to go to the containing gallery?
So...when you go here and enter "kid1"...
http://www.iellisphoto.com/Sports/FindYourPhotos
you end up here...

Hover over the thumbnail, and look at the bottom of your browser window, you'll see that it shows the link to /Sports/TestSports1/Test/, the gallery you wanted to hide.
You can see the gallery another way. Add the photo to your shopping cart, then click Checkout. On the Checkout screen, it has a link "see photo in gallery" which exposes the gallery you're trying to hide, /Sports/TestSports1/Test/.
If you want a client login system, implement mine:
http://www.sherlockphotography.org/Customisations/Client-login-system/
Because it works with the SmugMug security system, instead of trying to hide things and hack around it, it preserves the security of your clients' photos.

good points! - I've looked at your client login and other customization for that matter (thanks for all of those btw) but I'm really trying to get set up for is high volume photography (youth sports, school pics, etc) so I was hoping to find a way to achieve a type of client login/direct access system in bulk - so once I upload pic from Lightroom, the rest is already in place. I think your system would take me too long for 50-300 subjects...
I happen to think that it's a bug that the link to the original gallery no longer appears on the keyword gallery page, and if Smugmug ever agrees (they've never commented on this), you may not be able to count on this solution. And as Lamah said, if the gallery isn't password protected, there is nothing stopping anyone from navigating to the photos in other ways.
That said, I like your idea of having an option, so the user can select whether a link to the original gallery appears on a keyword result page. That way folks have a choice. I would also like (and I think I suggested this elsewhere) an option to have the search results display the same way that a keyword gallery does (so that you can quickly browse through all of the found photos.) As is is now, you get back search results, and if you click one to view it larger, you're off to the original gallery. OR it would be nice if Smugmug would allow keyword matches as one of the result choices. Currently when you search you can elect to view matching galleries, photos, videos, or both...I'd like another option for Keywords that would take you to a keyword gallery for the matching search argument. I use that feature a lot in legacy smugmug.
