Eliminate Skype from phone

I'm new to SmugMug and this forum. I hope someone can help.

How do I get rid of the Skype symbol next to a phone number?

I'm not sure where you are seeing this. Can you add a screen shot and a link to the page?

It's difficult to help without a link to your site. Please add it to your signature so it is always available to the helpers here. Click the clipboard icon in the navbar above, then Edit Signature. Begin your link with http:// to make it clickable.

I think you have Skype “click to call”, install on your computer.

Hi,

I added my site links to the signature. I hope they appear.

I attached a screen print from IE which shows the incorrect version of the home page. Please check Firefox so you can see the difference.

That's the Skype plugin that you've got installed in your browser automatically recognising the phone number and adding its logo in there and giving you the ability to call the number via Skype.

You can remove that plugin from your web-browser if you don't want that feature when you browse the web.

Alternatively, you can mess with the phone number text (if it's in an HTML block) to make it harder for Skype to recognise it as a phone number (but it may have an impact on other agents, like search engines):

Thank you very much. I removed and uninstalled the Skype plug-in and I'm good to go.
