changing galleries from unlisted to public in new version

In the Legacy version galleries were Unlisted.
In the legacy version settings I changed them to Public.
In the new version the galleries are still showing as Unlisted with no option to change the settings to Public.
Information from the legacy version is not being translated to the new version.

What can I do about this?

It sounds like the folder is set to Unlisted. The galleries inherit the characteristic of the folder. The galleries can be more restrictive than the folder but they can't be less restrictive.

If the folder is unlisted you can't change the galleries to public - set the folder to Public then check the galleries again.
