Show 'recent galleries' doesn't work

I want my new homepage to show recent galleries, exactly how I had it on the old site. It worked perfectly in preview so I unveiled - and they don't show up for visitors. In fact, no galleries at all show up for visitors. If I show a specific folder or select some galleries, that's fine. But just sorting by recent galleries doesn't work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Are the galleries public? What type of content element are you using to show them?

The galleries are public. I have put the gallery block into the homepage. On the preview, I can see the galleries without any issue. If I visit not logged in or someone else looks, they see nothing, not even the title 'Galleries'.

There's not much point looking at it because I do not have the gallery block set up to sort by 'Recent galleries' at the moment because I actually want visitors to see something. So I have it displaying 'Galleries I Choose'. Oh, and this is the third theme I have tried this on so it's not an issue with the specific theme.

Hey Spanners,

I can see all of your public galleries when logged out. Your unlisted galleries will not be visible to your viewers without a direct link to the gallery. That functions the same way it did in legacy.
