Me vs macro photography

I was at a camera swap the other day and picked up a used Nikon 85mm DX micro lens for my D5100 just to have some fun. Then went home and spent afternoon in the yard getting schooled on how tough macro is.
Hope the neighbors' kid didn't learn any new naughty words from me.
Best one thus far:
Not super sharp but it's a start (handheld and without flash). I also thought this one below turned out nice -- not because it's very close up, but the lens allowed me to get a sharp image of the fly while composing a decent shot of his habitat.
Thanks for looking!
