Haze Problem?

I am starting to venture into the filter and digital darkroom arena. I took this shot last September on my OM-1 with Velvia 50, scanned with a Nikon Coolscan V. I have some other shots that look like this as well. I am wondering about the haze as the shot goes to infinity. Should I go get a UV haze filter or polarizer, shoot on a clearer day, or edit in photoshop? All of the above? Thanks for the help.
