An option to add a check box under or beside each image in a gallery so that customers can create a list to be sent by email to the photographer for the purpose of a: image requests for an album, b: retouching requests, c: requesting images be removed from a gallery, etc, would be extremely helpful. This option was available with the image hosting site I was on before Smugmug (imageQuix) and my customers greatly appreciated the ease with which they chose the their album images rather than having to write everything down an retype a seperate email to me.

Our Business accounts already have a feature like this; you can create Events and Event Participants, and you can allow each participant to select Favorites. Favorites will be collected into a special gallery that both your and your client can view. You could use this feature to get feedback about what photos they want retouched, want in an album, or want removed for example. You can read more about this feature here:

To which "Business accounts" are you referring? I have a Smugmug Pro account and it only shows "Sales History" and "Pricelists" under Making Money.

The pro account level was split into two levels a while back. The levels are Portfolio and Business. Only Business level accounts have the feature. Which do you have?

Portfolio. I really can't justify going to the next level with the minimal amount of paying shoots I do now, especially since the cost already doubled last year ( without any notification ) in preparation for the "NEW" Smugmug.

This is not enough. That feature should be available outside of the extremely cumbersome events process. Just the other day I got a request for a dozen images for use on a calendar. The images were spread through many galleries... not from one event. I asked the customer to provide links to all the images she wanted. She misunderstood and provided me a list of the filenames. Then I had to manually locate each image (since smugmug still doesn't provide a search by filename), download each image, upload them to a new gallery, and share them with the customer.

I'm at least glad I'm still using legacy so it was easy for the customer and myself to locate filenames without needing to open the image info box 100 times to track them down. This would have been a nightmare for both of us on new smug.

The events feature is in no way a replacement for this feature request.
