Missing Gallery option ??

In the previous version of Smugmug there was a Gallery option whereby you could either select one Static image to promote a particular gallery, or if not selected allow Smugmug to automatically and continually alternate through every image contained within said Gallery.

With the new Smugmug the choice is as before for the owner to select a permanent image. However, if this option is not selected Smugmug automatically selects the first image in the Gallery which then remains static --- Or have I missed something

You have not missed something. I believe the random rotation is not functioning currently in SM. You should set the image or let the default set it. I think there has been a request to fix or upgrade this functionality.

Hi Silverstreaks,
ChancyRat hit the nail on the head. You didn't miss it as this ability isn't available in New SmugMug. As mentioned, this feature and others related to randomization (such as random image slideshow for example ) have definitely been requested.

Thanks Guys for confirming this feature was not carried over. I guess it joins the long list of things we got used to in the previous version of Smugmug but will have to wait to see it reappear at some stage in the future.


At least I now know its not something that I had overlooked.
