I have a menu bar with dropdown menus. The top menu points to the folder that contains all the galleries that the drop down menus point to. Currently, if you click on the top menu then this opens the folder. I would like to disable this function while still allowing the drop down menus to point to the individual galleries.

Thanks much!!

You should be able to just leave the top level link blank.

Thanks Allen but it isn't apparent how to do that. In the Link Menu it requests the following (and my choices):
    Name: Portfolio
    Link to: Page|Choose
    Pick: Portfolio
    Include Folder Contents: ON

The top link is Portfolio which is the folder that I don't want to link and the folder contents are sub links which I do want to link to.

For the top level link (that you don't want to be a link), click Specify URL, and then don't put a URL in it. Save it.
Then, and this may be not an option for you depending on the number of galleries you have, make a new link for each gallery, with the right URL for each. Drag each gallery link to slightly to the right of the top level link, making them a submenu. In other words you don't use the "open sub contents" section for a main link. You make a separate link for each gallery.

Stole it from someone else far more knowledgeable than I. It's one of those tricks that needs to be explained, it's not intuitive.
