Little ad in the header bar

I just sent this message to the help desk as feedback, not as a request for help.

I do not appreciate the little ad that just showed up in header bar when I log in ... and the smaller ad icon that stays there as long as I stay logged in. Given it just appeared right now, at the beginning of the holiday gift-giving season, it's clearly an advertisement. Having it is directly contrary to your statement about Ads & spam being "Zip", "Zero", "Zilch", and "Nada", as indicated on http://www.smugmug.com/features. I suggest you remove it.

Note that unlike many others here on Dgrin, I've chosen to keep the header bar, which clearly identifies mine is a SM-hosted site. Note also that

.sm-page-header-navitem-gosm {display:none}

makes it go away once you are logged in.

It was added there for the holiday season. It won't be there permanently so if it bothers you that much, you can leave the customization that hides it.
Since it is the gift giving season, we wanted to remind people they can give the gift of SmugMug and help others share their images and memories with friends and family.

How about leave it on the login page only? It doesn't bother me, but obviously it bothers others.
