Modify Hierarchy - Before or after unveiling?

Have decided to modify my current hierarchy (Category - Sub-category - Gallery).

The new hierarchy will not be a one -to-one. Some sub-categories in the old version will become a sub-sub-folder in the new. Galleries will be moved around. New folders with several levels of sub-folders will be created.

Would it be better to do this prior to unveiling, or after?

Also, can a given gallery appear under two different Folders/sub-folders?

Appreciate any help.

Hi Gene,

It's much easier to organize things using the new platform. You can have seven levels of folders and drag and drop galleries. You're not limited to Category subcategory and gallery anymore.
You can get it set up the way you like in the preview, then when you're ready, 'unveil' and your hierarchy will live.

You can create a smart gallery in another folder and set it to select images from the other gallery.

I did a re-organize after unveiling and it worked out fine. It even worked out nicely when I changed my mind about how to reorganize. Twice. But this thread -- http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=241812 -- suggests that if there are lots of links to your galleries from other web sites, then it might be wise to re-organize after migrating but before unveiling. -- Jim Ringland

Thanks for the feedback. Will be trying out a few thinmgs. When I get myself in trouble., I promise I'll be back begging for help.
