Strange bug with smart gallery settings

I updated to the new smugmug the day it came out and have been happy with despite a few hiccups. Today I was setting up new smart gallery settings to fill a gallery with images from another gallery. Strangely, the popup in the smart gallery settings dialog seems to list the galleries from before I switched (which is months ago!). I am trying to add to the gallery http://lagemaatphoto.smugmug.com/Nature/Seasons/Winter images from the (also smart) gallery http://lagemaatphoto.smugmug.com/Nature/Seasons/Winter-2012/n-pmdhG which gathers images specifically shot in the right date range but without me tagging them (that sometimes happens ;-) ) but whenever I try to setup the smart gallery, I see.

The galleries are missing. I also see a smug preview category that turns out to have my 2009-2012 gallery in there. So I can select the gallery there, but this is silly. Why doesn't the dialog reflect the correct structure? I gave up on the old smugmug a long time ago, way before I created all the galleries in the "Smug preview" folder, why is it still there?

    Worked on like all the other bugs and broken "features", hold your breath. Seems like they took the year off.

    Hi Wendee,

    Has there been any progress on this bug?

    I've posted a few times on another thread on the same topic, if it helps anything:
    REALLY would be helpful to know anything on if/when this bug might get squashed.

    Bump.

    Has there been any change in status on this bug with smart folders?

    It's getting nearly impossible to continue using smart galleries when all new folders and galleries just collapse into a flat list for selection.
