Autumn Ladybird

I spotted this 7-spot ladybird tucked up tight against the stem of the rosebush in the garden, presumably on the lookout for a spot to spend the winter, though I suspect this is way to open, and is just a place where she paused as the day grew colder and the sun slipped behind the garden fence.
I like the colours from the stem, the insect, and the background, all seeming to compliment each other.

Harlequins are out in force at the local nature reserve too in Preston.
