Hi guys, I am having difficulty starting and getting out of the gate. I use Corel to edit. I can't change my home page to a picture of a Blue Angel from one of my galleries. I can't drag and drop from pc files, I can't get watermark on. That is just a few things because I feel like spinning mu=y wheels getting out of the gate. Thanks in advance

I moved this to the Finishing School forum, where we discuss software issues.

It would be helpful to know what you use for a home page. Is this for a SmugMug site? A personal website? Something else?

Are you saying that you don't know how to upload image files to your site? Please elaborate.

Again, it matters whether this is for a SmugMug site or a custom web site.

If this is for a SmugMug site, you can create a custom image file just to use for a watermark. Follow the instructions here:

    http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93343-how-do-i-watermark-photos-

For a custom web site, you will probably need to apply the watermark to your images before you upload the images. The exact process will depend upon whether you need to retain transparency or not in the watermark image.

    Thank you
I want to change to photo for my home page. Having trouble just getting out of the gate. If you look at my galleries I want the single image of the Blue Angle for my home page.

This is for smug mug. The water mark is also for pictures posted on this site. This will be my primary site. I just can' t drop and drag, won't allow mw to.

I'd be happy to look at your galleries, but I don't see where you indicated that I might find them. Do you have a URL link to your site?

Sorry, Gary, not finding you at SmugMug.

I'm moving this to a SmugMug support forum, since it sounds like these are really questions related to SmugMug sites and SmugMug usage.

If you don't get your questions answered at DGrin, you might try contacting SmugMug Help:

Please post the actual URL. It is best to add your site URL to your signatureso it is always available to the helpers here. Click the clipboard icon on the navbar above, then Edit Signature. Begin your link with http:// to make it clickable.

The answer to your watermark question depends on what level smugmug site you have. Watermarks can be applied in smug if you have a business or portfolio level account; watermarks applied this way are only on display copies of the photos, not on the original.

If you have a power or basic account and you want a watermark you would need to apply it to your photo before uploading. If that is the case you should be aware that photos will print with the watermark on them.

    Thanks
I said I was just spinning my wheels. Asked if someone can 1:1 to but a hero said only email.
Seems like every time I sign in my password not accepted, frustrated to say the least. Giving it a break for the night, Thank you.

I'd recommend that you edit your post and remove your email address. Posting an email address in plain text is a good way to attract spam.

When I asked for your URL I meant your site address, not your email address. No one can use your email address to find your smugmug site.
