Hi Guys
I am working on my new smug mug site. I am no pro and use the site to share photos with family and friends. My old site I have a galleries page all my galleries are displayed on this page. I like to keep things real simple.
With the new smug mug when I create a galleries page it creates a page with a bunch of sub folders. How do I bring everything to a top level like my old page?

But, try organizing your site by clicking Organize at the top. Not Customize site.
In Organize you can rearrange anything and everything.
It sounds like you want One Folder at the top. Call it Galleries.
You can either use a folder you currently have and just rename it, or create a new one.
Then move all your galleries into this folder.
If your galleries are currently in other folders, click onto one of those folders on the left side, then highlight all of the galleries you see (on the right side), and drag them with your mouse into the top level folder you call Galleries.
