monitor color calibration

Hi, got a new NEC 23" multisystem Ultra Slim Monitor Ex231W and wrongly assumed that I could color calibrate it with my existing SpectraView II tool which I use for my PA241W :cry.

Well, now I have to look for another calibration tool which will serve my new monitor - I don't want to splash out on this one - any Ideas?

What about the Data color Spyder Elite?

Constructive input appreciated...
Cheers, Bee

Spyder 4 works great for me and does multi-monitor and ambient light adjustments..

Any LCD Monitor works with the Spyder as far as I know. You just need to be able to adjust the brightness and contrast of the monitors to get it within a range necessary for proper brightness.
