This is a 1928 Marmon Series 78 Rumble Seat Roadster. The Marmon family had made their wealth as manufacturers of millstones. One of their sons, Howard, decided that his future was in automobiles. His first model was produced in 1902. Throughout the company's history, they were acknowledged leaders in bringing advanced engineering and features to their cars. This particular car was powered by a straight-eight engine putting out 86 HP.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
