Lens hood alternative for Zeiss 80mm f/2 for Contax 645? The original ones are very expensive.

It appears that the Zeiss 80mm f/2 for Contax 645 has 72mm filter threads. If you just need basic protection for the threads and lens front, as well as "some" contra light protection, a cheap Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood can work fine.

You may also have to find a different lens cap, and using filters is a pain. Other than than, it's a more suitable situation than a bare lens.
