EDIT: For those that use Macs, you can get VLC for free, and then you can open these movies easily.

My videos are for the Windows Media Player, which includes Macs after a simple download. On my Video Problem Solving Page, http://intrepidberkeleyexplorer.com/VideoProblemSolver.html it says:

"For Mac OS X try selecting and downloading Windows Media for QuickTime to play Windows Media files",

followed by a link for the download.
