I also like two the best.

In one, it gives me the feeling that she is going to fall out of the frame.

Almost looks like two different people.

I prefer #2 for her softer more approachable pose. I don't love her head angle with the eyes looking upward in #1. She almost looks tired. The background and lighting in #1 looks like my garage. Did you stop by and shoot without telling me??

Looking at this today, I think I didn't retouch under her eyes as well in #1 which is what makes her look tired. (She IS tired - she has a 13yo and a 2yo and, like most performing artists, is juggling 10000 things at once. I feel her pain!! lol). These were just teasers; she may or may not want these (there are a LOT of others for her to choose from!), and I"ll revisit once she makes her picks.

If I show you the setup for that second one, you will laugh. Very, very hard. To call it "ghetto" is an understatement; I'll just say it's my front porch, but with rather unlikely repurposing of items for the background................... lol

Thanks! She is ECSTATIC with them - really pleased. I love getting emails like this one: "My husband was so impressed by what you did for me that he’s really looking forward to working with you [I'm doing a set with him later this month]. Considering that he has put off getting new professional solo headshots taken for over 25 years, that’s quite an accomplishment on your part!"

No matter how much I may like the images from a session, I never feel it was successful unless the client likes them too, so it's always a relief to get feedback like this!! :D

#1 is not very flattering, her face seems very distorted but #2 is simply Great.

Two is my favorite. If you edit her eyes in number one, I hope you post the modified image. I say that because I have a drooping eyelid and to fix that I used the pucker (strange name) in PSE to fix it.

    Thanks, Phil

I don't think the "issue" is her eyes in #1, it's her hair being pulled back. I don't know any other way to say it other than it looks grandma ish.

Thanks guys. What happened was this: I was shooting that sequence with her hair down, and saw the very pretty curve of her neck and shoulder. Her hair is too short to stay behind her shoulder, so we just quickly put it up into a 60's-style french twist. I'd agree that here it's a little dowdy, although I still like the "look" of it with that dress and the eyeliner thumb.gif
