I alreayd have a post about final customisations but i don't think this has been done before or if it's even possible so thought i would add it here to be discussed.

My website is mainly for Family and friends to pic up whats happening in our life without us having to upload our life to facebook. I was wondering if any wiz kid has any idea how we could add a button underneath an image (smugmug style) that would then email them if i uploaded any more photo's to that gallery.

Guessing this is something that the developers would need to add but thought i would ask.

I have a feeds link of recent galleries in my browser's toolbar. I click it and the recent galleries appear in the drop.
    Might have them add that.

In legacy I could go to my homepage and see the feeds at the bottom. Click and expanding it I see this.

    Available Feeds
    Recent Galleries:
Atom Feed Atom | RSS Feed RSS | [Google Earth feed] Google Earth

I click the red and it adds the link to my browser toolbar.
Clicking that link in the toolbar opens a dropdown with a bunch of recent gallery links.
In the link I edited to add the count to limit the number shown ...&ImageCount=40 (See post above)

Here's a link to the help page on feeds for smug - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/84266-where-do-i-find-feeds-.

    Per the help page:
Feeds are only available for public, non-passworded galleries.

In Firefox I can add a "Subscribe" button to the toolbar area at the top. I just noticed that in NewSmug this
button in grayed out. Switching to legacy it is not. WTF!

I have not found how to add a recent feed to NewSmug, maybe because I'm not unveiled headscratch.gif

When logged in I get password galleries in the recent gallery feed in legacy.

Ah NewSmug, go to any gallery
    share > get a link
    feed link tab
    Create A Feed Wizard:
choose feed in drop > Recent Galleries
    "generate your feed"

Using Firefox paste link in browser to open page
    click Subscribe Now at top
I added mine to Bookmarks Toolbar

FWIW, I've found that Firefox's "Subscribe" button is greyed-out when looking at New SM homepage, folders and pages, but it is active and does work for galleries. Is that not how it worked/works in Legacy, and how it's supposed to work in New SM?

    Also interrested on feed links:
I read somewhere that it was possible only on public and non protected galleries.
As I have a global pasword protected site, what can I expect?
    Jerome.

When I'm logged in I see my recent passworded galleries in the browser Recent Galleries drop listing.
Visitors can not log in so they don't see them even if adding the gallery password.
Edit: Looking in IE not logged in I see the passworded galleries. headscratch.gif
Clicking one it brings up the enter password page.
