I know that at least some of the customizers who are listed in the thread Certified SmugMug Customizers are customizing sites in new smugmug. You might try contacting one of them.

If you don't want to pay someone to customize your site you might try asking questions here in dgrin. Ask one question at a time and someone will help you with the code. Then you can move on to your next question / task.

You can either post a new thread for each question or if you'd like to keep everything together start a new thread with a title like hpphoto's customization thread and post all of your questions there. That would give you a good reference point. I still believe you will be better served by asking your questions one at a time though.
