Understanding collected image

Hi all,

I need help to understand the virtual copies.

1. If I delete a collected image also the source file is deleted. Yes or No?
2. If I edit the collected image, and edit with pickmonkey, if I save the results as save a new copy. The new file will end up at the source directory and not where the collected image is. Yes or No?
3. I now have collected some photos made some edits, and if I understand it right the edited images are at the source directory.. I do not want to have the original image in the folder where collected images are, how I can remove it from that gallery without deleting the source?

Regards
Alex

    1. No. Deleting the collected image using Delete (via Organizer) or Remove (via Tools > Remove) does not delete the source file. Deleting the source file DOES delete the collected image, but does not delete any copies of it "saved as new copies" by PicMonkey.

    2. Yes. "Save as new copy" does just that - it makes a new independent image.

    3. If you have "saved as new copies" after your editing you can remove the originals using Delete either via Organizer or Tools > Delete, or put them somewhere else using drag&drop in the Organizer.

If in doubt, upload a "disposable" image and try it yourself.

I've deleted collected photos and had the original file also deleted. It's best to use "remove."
