Moving Menu Bar on Homepage (Spartan)

Hi guys! This is my first time designing a website. I am using Spartan and the photo I want to use as my background, the menu bar goes right through their faces. Anyway to adjust the placement of this bar or move the photo over? Ive tried the built in photo movements (up, down, center, left, right) to no avail.
