New York, New York

I was back in New York over Thanksgiving, and before I headed south again, I visited Brooklyn Bridge Park for a sunset skyline shot. Gathering clouds got in the way of really nice colors in the sky...I guess I'll have to try again the next time I'm home.

Both are real nice. I'm partial to the second image. Love the light stars.

Thank you, David. If I end up printing that one, I'll have to do something with that ugly Verizon sign on the building...

More good night work, John.....a strong suit of yours, for sure.

I like the scope of view in the first shot, but find that tour boat (?) on the left to be distractive; so I go for the tighter crop. Both well done.

I had hopes we Southerners could " turn " you once you got among us. Doesn't look like that's working.:D The pull of the heart is strong, indeed.

    Take care,

    Tom

Very nice! I also prefer the second. The sign doesn't bother me, although I might drop the highlights on it some.

Thank you, Tom, I always appreciate your thoughts. Unfortunately, that is an antique carousel that was restored and moved to the river side next to the Brooklyn Bridge. I think it ruins what is otherwise a stunning view of the bridge and lower Manhattan.

Thank you! It definitely needs to be toned down a bit.

Both really nice, Moose. Shots are well composed and crisp. The (party?) barge in the first shot is a bit bright of course which draws the eye away from the rest of the amazing details of the skyline. I like the Verizon sign. Great job all the way around. thumb.gif

You could maybe replace the Verizon sign with a Nike sign? Much more "hip." :D
