Rasika is an incredibly talented musician. We did a lifestyle session in the freezing cold weather, and she was completely fine! Waaay braver than I :D

We had a very short deadline, so we had to push this session for 1pm. I generally shoot in natural light, so this made it very difficult..but we were able to make it work. Here is her story:

As you can see in 15, the sun started getting harsh. But I like this shot in particular because I feel she is in her element with the flute. She told me she likes to play sitting in random spots, so it had to be done :)

You already know i adore this set - very lovely.

My ONLY suggestion would be in the more "traditional" shots - ie the kind that might go in the program (eg 9b, 13) - and give it just a touch more retouching love on the skin (healing brush plus frequency separation retouching and/or smoothing. If you have any actions use those - if you don't, hit me up and I'll send you some I've made and/or know about that are great. And free thumb.gif)

Thanks Diva! Definitely shoot me a message. I don't use actions, so I usually smooth photographs that a client may use to send off somewhere (either that or clone tool). It will certainly be handy for multiple images!

I like 12 and 13 very much. She must have been freezing during these.

Laughing.gif gotta love those inside jokes. And I shouldn't be talking as I forgot to respond to your extremely detailed facebook message! I'll get on that right away before more tumbleweeds end up on this post.

@Mitch: Thank you! Surprisingly, she was fine. She is far braver than myself in these cold conditions. She needed some images for a magazine publishing, so we were going to do it regardless of the crazy cold temps!

I LOVE these images and refuse to let this thread die :) What I really like is that you've struck a great balance between lifestyle, a kind of editorial vibe and a bit of a fashion/glamourous feel to some. Totally goes with what she markets as a musician, which makes these PERFECT for her. I'm so trying to get better at this "feel" to shoots so I can give people great website images as well as headshots; I haven't quite managed it yet, and your work provides real inspiration. No tumbleweeds are allowed here!! thumb.gif
