Arroyo Burro sunset

The beach is a couple miles north of downtown Santa Barbara (CA) and has proven to be a reliable sunset spot. I didn't have to do too much processing outside of converting from RAW.

For top pic, it was fun watching the surf creep past the legs of my tripod holding my Nikon D5100, purchased to replace my Nikon D5000, which went to Davy Jones' locker a couple years back near San Simeon.

Bottom pic was taken eight minutes after the first one when things really started getting toasty on the horizon. Both pics taken well after the sun dipped below the horizon, as per sunset protocol.
