are non OEM flashes decent options

I have a Nikon SB900 that is acting up. I used it with my D700 for a few years and then it went haywire. Sent it in to Nikon and it still doesn't work right, fires on it's own, etc.

I now have a D4 and am wanting a flash but don't want to spend $550 on a SB910.

The first one that came up on B&H was a flash called Bolt, compatible with Nikon TTL flash, for $200.

I just want something more than the onboard flash I don't need anything exotic.

Any input appreciated.

I bought Sunpak PZ42's for my Nikons and Canons. Powerful, works well. I use it with a Gary Fong Lightsphere, or a Honl softbox attachment. About $150 and does a nice job.
