Ugh.. Wish I had something more exciting to share

I've been so busy with my day job and stuff around the house that I've had no time to shoot. I do continue to shoot my daily's of the wife so thought I'd share a few.
Lately, due to lack of time, I've resorted to shooting with just a speedlight (SB-900) on the hot-shoe. It's been interesting to experiment with such a low tech/convenient setup. Getting decent results, I think but lets see what you all think.
Hope I don't bore you with these:
1 - Window light with a touch of SB-900 as fill
Rest are all SB-900 as fill

Nine would be my favorite, followed closely by 10.
I'm happy to hear such positive comments. I'm sure we all struggle with looking at our own work objectively. And for me, it goes both ways. Sometimes I think the results are great, while the very next day, looking at the same photo, I conclude I must have been smoking something because it looks like crap. It's nice to get some reinforcement that I'm doing something right.
BTW, these were all shot on different days, with whatever mother nature had to offer as far as ambient. Some days were sunny while other were overcast or gloomy. It's been interesting.

In #2, how are you shooting 1/800th sec with the D700?
Sam
I'm assuming you mean with the flash. I used high speed sync mode. Was goofing around with this feature. Notice I had the ISO at 1000. Didn't need it that high except to get the shutter up to 1/800.

HA. I guess you mean so the wife don't see it. Actually, she's surprised you guys haven't banned me from the forum long ago for posting so many photos of her.

lol.... sorry about that. Yes, the flash at 1/800th. I've only seen how to get it to 1/320th.
Just tell her it's because we're all waiting for you to get around to doing some more bikini shots!
We're a patient lot we are. Besides, she's a delight to look at no matter what she's wearing.
I can do that for you easily that if she emails me
These are great shots, BTW, with only a speedlight? That's crazy! If I were Dave Hobby, I'd be getting worried.

Thanks David.
Here are a few more since those were so well received. Same setup:

Stop posting her and see how fast I vote to ban you.
Other than that, 1 & 5 are special and I'm in love with # 1 of the second set. The rest are merely terrific so that's not up to your usual standard.
